Deadline Approaches for Grand Valley Power’s
Youth Tour and Leadership Camp
GRAND JUNCTION, CO - (January 4, 2018) – The deadline is approaching for high school juniors and seniors to apply for an all-expenses paid trip to attend the Washington, D.C., Youth Tour or the Cooperative Leadership Camp at Glen Eden Resort.
Applications are due January 5th, 2018 and can be completed online, dropped off at our main office, or can be printed and postmarked by this date. High school juniors or seniors must currently reside in a home served by Grand Valley Power.
“Grand Valley Power continues its long-standing tradition of sponsoring the youth tour and camp opportunities,” Communications Specialist, Christmas Wharton said. “This is just one of the ways we commit to our communities’ education and training, and it’s a core principle of our cooperative.”
If selected for the D.C. Tour, students will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience joining over 1,500 other peers, are able to meet government officials and tour historical landmarks in the capital city.
If selected for the Glen Eden Resort, students will experience the great outdoors and Rocky Mountains, float down the Colorado River and tour local power plants.
