Seven Cooperative Principles
Cooperatives are guided by seven principles that emphasize democratic control, equitable economic participation, and community welfare. As a not-for-profit organization, we focus on member needs.
Member Benefits
Being a member has its rewards! You will receive our monthly Colorado Country Life magazine, which highlights co-op news, Colorado activities, recipes and more. In addition, members are eligible for CashBack Credits and scholarships or youth program opportunities. Grand Valley Power also hosts an Annual Meeting every year where members gather to hear the state of the cooperative, meet with our staff, and enjoy dinner with giveaways. We provide GVP members with options to do energy your way, offering programs like HELP home energy audits, renewable energy choices, and DIY energy-efficiency tips for cost savings during every season. Lastly, we have concern for our communities, and you'll often see us participate in local events, so check out our latest hometown partnership events and activities.
Get to know your Board of Directors
We're led by the members we serve. Your Board of Directors, elected by you, guides the business and direction of the cooperative. Democratic participation by election is one of our core cooperative principles.
Bylaws and Rights
As a member, know your rights. Cooperatives are democratically member controlled, and as such, we operate under our bylaws and regulations. Review these documents to know more about how we operate.
Hours and Location
If you need to contact us, come by our offices at 845 22 Road in Grand Junction. We are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; except major holidays.
